I was into Ducatis when I first bought this Guzzi, and was surprised to find how much more 'revvy' the Le Mans was when compared to the air-cooled 900SS (I'd owned two 900SS & an 888 Strada in succession, and still owned the 888SP4). Anyway, I voiced this opinion in a post on one of the Ducati forums, and was ridiculed by one or two Ducati 'gurus' who thought they knew better. Ho hum! The air-cooled Ducati's power flattens-off at around 6500-7000rpm, whereas the Le Mans keeps pulling, and would rev way past 8000rpm if you'd care to risk bending a valve.
