From 1939 to 1943 6390 were built for the Italian army.The rear handlebars were to allow the passenger to hold on and fire a rifle or submachine gun such as the Beretta M38a, which is mounted on the front forks. The submachine gun is WWII vintage but has been deactivated. This bike was imported from Italy 15 years ago and refurbished to its wartime condition this year.
